Store Manager
About SIPPLE
SIPPLE is the first and only non-alcoholic bottle shop in Texas. We sell non-alcoholic beer, wine, spirits and ready to drink cocktails from over 50 brands worldwide. Our mission is to make it easier for anyone wanting to revisit their relationship with alcohol to find alternative options. At SIPPLE, we’re community first. We’re a small team of three, made up of co-founders and partners, Danny and Helenita Frounfelkner, and one store associate. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and energetic self-starting, independent individual with retail and hospitality management experience to join our team.

Job Description
The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the store. They ensure that the customer experience is always top priority, the shelves are fully stocked and retail ready and they’re committed to learning and educating customers on a growing industry. Occasional events off premise may be required.
The store is open Tuesday through Sunday (October-May) and Wednesday through Sunday during summer months. Manager must be flexible with hours of availability and be proficient in opening and closing procedures as well as all other general operating tasks throughout the store.
As we do sell CBD and Delta 8 products, the manager will ensure that all local and state laws are followed and enforced as pertaining to the sale and handling of cannabis products in the store.
Customer Service
The manager is expected to meet the following requirements:
- Maintain a positive customer experience
- Handle in-store customer issue resolution without escalation to upper management
Team Management
The manager is expected to meet the following requirements:
- Schedule employee shifts, ensuring the proper staffing coverage is accounted for to support sales, special events, holidays, and other factors that may occur.
- Maintain a positive team culture and work environment
- Address performance issues as they arise, letting upper management know about bigger picture or gray area performance issues
- Give on the spot feedback
Inventory Management
The manager is expected to meet the following requirements:
- Receive Orders
- Inspect the store for evidence of damaged product, inventory control, internal and external theft and properly reporting and logging these events
- Ensure all products have correct price tags, placement and signage.
- Receive merchandise, report and obtain credit on damaged or mislabeled items in a timely manner and following inventory control procedures. Manager must submit all invoices in a timely manner.
- Take bi-monthly inventory
- Updating pars during busy months and slow months to manage ordering
- Maintain cleanliness/organization in the shop, especially as it pertains to inventory and retail readiness
Communication
Communicate directly and regularly with upper management and with the team, leading briefings, communicating priorities, operational changes and other messages to the rest of the team.
Operations
The manager is expected to meet the following requirements:
- Ensure all store conditions are maintained to the highest standards throughout the day, ensuring all employees are staying productive and engaging with customers.
- Ensure all sanitation and cleaning duties are performed as well as daily tasks.
- Manage daily operations of the store.
- Complete daily checklist
- Ensure quality assurance protocols are met and followed
- Maintain general cleanliness and organization with the help of the team
Miscellaneous
Manager is expected to support upper management wherever needed and help out wherever needed to ensure shop operations are smooth and needs are met.

Requirements:
- Retail experience necessary (at least 2 years)
- Management experience (3-5 years)
- Hospitality and restaurant experience preferred
- Beverage experience preferred
Skills:
- Knowledge of Shopify POS System
- Google Drive
- Instagram savvy
- Multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Communication skills, must be able to communicate with vendors, staff and clients and customers
- Basic Merchandising skills, building displays, etc.
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner (ability to stay cool under pressure and during conflict)
- Must be organized, and possess a strong sense of urgency and professional demeanor
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Must be able to speak English and be authorized to work in the US
- Must memorize product flavor profiles and speak educatedly to customers
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to move around: bending, squatting, etc.
